📝 Ingredients
For the Steak:
10 oz (280g) ribeye or sirloin steak, cubed
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp black pepper
For the Fried Rice:
3 cups cooked white rice, chilled
2 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp oyster sauce
½ cup green onions, chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste
👨‍🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Marinate the Steak
In a bowl, toss cubed steak with soy sauce, olive oil, and black pepper.
Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
2️⃣ Cook the Steak
Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the steak and sear for 2–3 minutes until browned.
Remove from the pan and set aside.
3️⃣ Sauté the Garlic
Lower the heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet and let it melt.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, just until fragrant.
4️⃣ Add the Rice
Turn the heat up to high.
Add the cold rice and stir-fry, breaking up clumps and letting it slightly crisp in the garlic butter.
5️⃣ Add Sauces
Pour in the soy sauce, sesame oil, and oyster sauce.
Mix thoroughly until the rice is evenly coated and heated through.
6️⃣ Combine & Finish
Return the steak to the skillet and stir to combine.
Add the chopped green onions and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
7️⃣ Serve
