Ingredients:
For the Sausages:
6 good-quality sausages (smoked, pork, chicken, or plant-based — your choice)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp whole grain mustard (optional, for serving)
Fresh parsley or chives, for garnish
For the Crispy Potato Slices:
4 large russet or Yukon gold potatoes, thinly sliced
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp dried oregano
Salt & black pepper, to taste
For the Zesty Kick Sauce:
½ cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)
1 clove garlic, minced
Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the Potatoes:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Arrange the sliced potatoes on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle over smoked paprika, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Toss the slices to coat evenly, then lay them flat in a single layer.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
Grill the Sausages:
While the potatoes bake, heat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium heat.
Brush the sausages lightly with olive oil.
Grill the sausages for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and nicely charred.
Make the Zesty Kick Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together the sour cream (or yogurt), mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
