⏱️ Prep Time: 20 minutes | Cook Time: 55 minutes
🍽️ Servings: 12–14 slices
Ingredients:
For the Cake Batter:
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs, room temperature
1 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
1 cup whole milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
For the Cinnamon Swirl:
¾ cup brown sugar, packed
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
¼ cup all-purpose flour
4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
For the Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2–3 tbsp milk
½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Preheat & prepare the pan:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan, making sure to coat every corner so the cake releases beautifully.
2. Make the cinnamon swirl:
In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and melted butter until it forms a crumbly mixture. Set aside.
3. Prepare the cake batter:
In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla. Alternate adding the dry ingredients with sour cream and milk, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
4. Layer the batter & swirl:
Pour half of the batter into the prepared Bundt pan. Sprinkle the cinnamon swirl mixture evenly over the batter. Pour the remaining batter on top, then use a knife to gently swirl through the layers to create a marbled effect.
5. Bake the cake:
Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before carefully turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
6. Add the glaze:
In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle generously over the cooled cake.
Tips & Variations:
✅ Add chopped pecans or walnuts to the cinnamon swirl for extra crunch.
✅ Swap sour cream for Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
✅ Dust with powdered sugar instead of glaze for a rustic look.
✅ Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for a decadent dessert.
