
Cheeseburger Stuffed Bread
A golden-baked loaf packed with juicy ground beef, bacon, melted cheese, and burger fixings. Ideal for game days, parties, or a fun twist on dinner.
🛒 Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
1 small yellow onion, diced
Salt & pepper, to taste
1 can refrigerated French bread dough (e.g., Pillsbury)
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp yellow mustard
4 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
2 dill pickle spears, chopped
4–5 slices American cheese
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Thousand Island dressing, for dipping
👨🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat & Prep
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prep all ingredients in advance so the dough stays cool.
2️⃣ Cook the Filling
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef.
Add onion halfway through.
Season with salt and pepper.
Cook until beef is no longer pink and onions are soft.
Drain excess fat completely.
3️⃣ Roll Out the Dough
Unroll dough onto a floured surface.
Gently stretch into a 12×18-inch rectangle.
4️⃣ Add the Fillings (leave 1″ border)
Spread ketchup and mustard.
Add beef/onion mixture.
Top with chopped bacon, pickles, and cheese slices.
5️⃣ Roll & Seal
Roll up from the long edge into a log.
Pinch the seams and ends to seal.
Place seam-side down on baking sheet.
6️⃣ Finish & Bake
Brush with beaten egg.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake 20–25 minutes, until golden and internal temp is 190°F.
Cool 5–10 minutes before slicing.
