Ingredients:
1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits
2 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
2 tbsp unsalted butter
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thicker filling)
½ cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp milk
Instructions:
Preheat and Prepare:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
Make the Apple Filling:
In a pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract. Cook for 5-7 minutes until apples soften. If needed, mix cornstarch with 1 tbsp water and stir in to thicken the filling. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Assemble the Biscuits:
Flatten each biscuit slightly and place a spoonful of apple filling in the center. Fold the dough over and pinch the edges to seal. Arrange them on the baking sheet.
Bake:
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and fluffy.
Make the Glaze:
In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
Finish and Serve:
Drizzle the glaze over the warm biscuits and serve immediately. Enjoy these apple pie biscuits with a hot cup of coffee or tea! ☕🍏
