Irresistible Garbage Bread 🍞🧀🥓

Say hello to the ultimate party food! 🎉 Irresistible Garbage Bread is a flavor-packed stuffed bread loaded with ground beef, gooey cheese, crispy bacon, and all your favorite toppings — rolled up into golden, toasty perfection. It’s called “garbage bread” because you can toss in anything delicious you have on hand! Perfect for game day, family gatherings, or whenever you want a handheld comfort food that impresses every time.

Ingredients:

For the Filling:

1 lb (450g) ground beef (or Italian sausage)

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

½ cup cooked bacon, crumbled

1 cup marinara or pizza sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Salt & black pepper, to taste

For the Bread Roll:

1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

¼ cup sliced black olives (optional)

¼ cup diced bell peppers (optional)

2 tablespoons butter, melted

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried parsley

For Serving:

Warm marinara sauce, for dipping

Instructions:

1. Cook the filling:
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain excess grease. Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened. Stir in bacon, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

2. Preheat the oven:
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

3. Roll out the dough:
On a lightly floured surface, roll the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 12×16 inches.

4. Layer the fillings:
Spread the cooled meat mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the top, along with olives and peppers if using.

5. Roll it up:
Starting from the long edge, roll the dough tightly like a jelly roll. Pinch the seams and tuck the ends underneath to seal. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.

6. Add the buttery topping:
Brush the rolled dough with melted butter, then sprinkle with garlic powder and parsley for extra flavor.

7. Bake to golden perfection:
Bake for 30–35 minutes, until the bread is golden brown and cooked through. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

8. Slice & serve:
Cut into thick slices and serve warm with marinara dipping sauce on the side.

Tips & Variations:

✅ Swap beef for pepperoni, sausage, or shredded chicken.
✅ Add jalapeños for a spicy kick.
✅ Use barbecue sauce instead of marinara for a smoky twist.
✅ Make mini versions for grab-and-go party bites!
