⏱️ Prep Time: 20 minutes | Cook Time: 55 minutes
🍽️ Servings: 8–10 slices

Ingredients:

For the Bread Batter:

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

¾ cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1½ teaspoons vanilla extract

1½ cups all-purpose flour

1½ teaspoons baking powder

½ cup milk

For the Apple Mixture:

2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best), peeled and diced

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

For the Cinnamon-Sugar Swirl:

⅓ cup light brown sugar, packed

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

For the Glaze:

½ cup powdered sugar

1–2 tablespoons milk (adjust for consistency)

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Prep the apples:
In a small bowl, toss diced apples with sugar and cinnamon until well coated. Set aside.

2. Make the batter:
Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder. Gradually add dry mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with milk, until smooth.

3. Layer the bread:
Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan. Pour half of the batter into the pan. Add half of the apple mixture, then sprinkle half of the cinnamon-brown sugar mixture on top. Repeat with the remaining batter, apples, and cinnamon-sugar.

4. Create the swirl:
Use a knife to gently swirl through the batter, creating ribbons of cinnamon and apple throughout.

5. Bake:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

6. Glaze it up:
Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle generously over the cooled bread. Let set before slicing.
