🍽️ Servings: 4

Ingredients:

For the Beef:

1 lb (450g) flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp cornstarch

1 tsp sesame oil

For the Sauce:

1/2 cup low-sodium beef broth

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tbsp oyster sauce

1 tbsp hoisin sauce

2 tbsp brown sugar (or honey)

2 tsp cornstarch

1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

3 cloves garlic, minced

For the Stir-Fry:

4 cups broccoli florets

2 tbsp vegetable oil

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Marinate the beef:
In a medium bowl, toss the sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Let it rest for at least 15 minutes while you prepare the sauce and broccoli.

2. Make the sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, ginger, and garlic. Set aside.

3. Cook the broccoli:
Bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch the broccoli for 2 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Drain and set aside.

4. Stir-fry the beef:
Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes until browned but not fully cooked. Remove from the pan and set aside.

5. Combine everything:
Pour the sauce into the pan, stirring constantly until it thickens (about 1–2 minutes). Return the beef and broccoli to the skillet, tossing everything together until evenly coated and heated through.

6. Serve:
Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.

Tips & Variations:

βœ… Use chicken or tofu instead of beef for a twist.
βœ… Add bell peppers, mushrooms, or snap peas for more color and crunch.
βœ… Double the sauce if you love extra flavor to pour over rice.
βœ… Meal prep friendly β€” store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
