Blackberry Crumble
A cozy, fruit-forward dessert with a golden, buttery topping—perfect served warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!
🍇 Ingredients
For the Blackberry Filling:
24 oz fresh or frozen blackberries
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tbsp all-purpose flour
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
Dash of salt
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
For the Crumble Topping:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
½ tsp ground cinnamon
3 dashes of salt
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
👩‍🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat the Oven:
Preheat to 350°F (175°C).
Lightly grease a 3-quart baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
2️⃣ Prepare the Blackberry Filling:
In a medium bowl, gently toss blackberries with sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, and lemon juice.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.
3️⃣ Make the Crumble Topping:
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
Add the softened butter. Use a pastry cutter, fork, or your fingers to mix until the mixture forms coarse crumbs.
4️⃣ Assemble and Bake:
Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the blackberry filling.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
5️⃣ Cool and Serve:
Let the crumble sit for 5–10 minutes to allow the filling to thicken slightly.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a dollop of whipped cream, or a drizzle of crème anglaise.
