Ingredients
For the Chicken:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
½ cup buttermilk
¼ cup vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Cream Gravy:
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups milk
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
Season both sides with salt and pepper.
2️⃣ Coat the Chicken
In a shallow dish, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Dip each chicken breast into buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture, pressing to ensure an even coating.
3️⃣ Fry the Chicken
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Fry the chicken breasts for 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).
Remove the chicken from the skillet and place on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
4️⃣ Make the Cream Gravy
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Stir in 2 tbsp of flour and cook for 1 minute, whisking constantly until lightly golden.
Gradually whisk in milk, cooking and stirring until the gravy thickens.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5️⃣ Serve
Pour the cream gravy over the crispy fried chicken.
Serve hot, with sides like mashed potatoes, buttermilk biscuits, or your favorite vegetables for the ultimate comfort meal.

For an extra crispy coating, double-dip the chicken by repeating the buttermilk and flour dredging process.
